Prices are Topstep's own, as listed on topstep.com on October 21, 2026.

    What is Topstep Trading Combine?

It is Topstep's standard evaluation: pass one Trading Combine and you earn an Express Funded Account, a simulated funded account that pays real money. It is billed monthly until you pass, then the subscription ends.

What are the Topstep Trading Combine rules?

One rule and two objectives. The rule: never let the balance touch the Maximum Loss Limit ($2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 below the start), which trails your end-of-day balance and locks at your starting balance. The objectives: the 6% profit target and the 55% consistency target. You can pass in two days at the earliest, with no time limit.

Trading closes at 3:10 PM CT and reopens at 5:00 PM CT, so nothing is held overnight. News trading is allowed at your own risk. Bots and trade copiers are allowed with conditions; hedging across accounts and running more than one Topstep profile are not. You trade on TopstepX, futures only.

How much does Topstep Trading Combine cost?

$49 a month for the 50K, $99 for the 100K and $199 for the 150K, plus $149 once you pass to activate each Express Funded Account. Adding the Daily Loss Limit at checkout does not change the price; a reset costs one month, and every rebill includes one free reset credit.

How do Topstep Trading Combine payouts work?

Every 5 winning days on the Standard path, or every 3 trading days at 40% consistency, up to $2,000, $3,000 or $5,000 a request on Standard ($3,000, $4,000 or $6,000 on Consistency). If you added the Daily Loss Limit when you bought the Combine, those caps double, up to $12,000.

On the Standard path a payout needs 5 winning days of $150 or more; on the Consistency path, 3 trading days with no single day above 40% of the profit. Each request is 50% of the balance, at least $125, and the split is 90/10. Aeropay pays instantly for US banks that support real-time payments; Wise, ACH or wire also work ($30 for ACH and wire).

What happens after you pass Topstep Trading Combine?

You activate an Express Funded Account for $149. It starts at a $0 balance; its Maximum Loss Limit trails up and locks at $0, and after the first payout it is set to $0 for good. You can hold up to 5 at once.

Topstep's Risk team decides call-ups to the Live Funded Account. Live payouts have no dollar cap (50% of the balance per request), and after 30 winning days of $150+ in Live, payouts can be requested daily.

How does Topstep Trading Combine compare to MyFundedFutures Builder 50K?

MyFundedFutures' Builder 50K scores 8.9/10 against the Trading Combine 50K's 6.9: the same $3,000 target and $2,000 max loss, no consistency rule to pass and payouts every 48 hours, but an 80/20 split and a buffer to clear, for $92 one-time.

Every Topstep plan is compared side by side on the Topstep page, and any two firms on the comparison hub.

Is Topstep Trading Combine worth it?

It is the cheapest way into Topstep at $49 a month, and it rates 6.9/10 (Fair) on the 50K, or 7.4 with the Daily Loss Limit. It suits traders who pass quickly, because the bill repeats every month until they do, and who will add the Daily Loss Limit for double payout caps.

Scores follow the Enigma Rating method: value, risk cushion, payout reach, pass ease and trader sentiment.

    FAQ

How much does the Topstep Trading Combine cost?

$49 a month for the 50K, $99 for the 100K and $199 for the 150K, plus a $149 activation fee per Express Funded Account after you pass.

What is the one rule in the Topstep Trading Combine?

The Maximum Loss Limit: $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 below the start, trailing the end-of-day balance and locking at the starting balance. Touching it, even on an open trade, ends the account.

What does the Daily Loss Limit do in the Trading Combine?

It is optional at checkout ($1,000, $2,000 or $3,000). Hitting it flattens you until the next session instead of failing the account, and adding it at purchase doubles your Express Funded Account payout caps.

How fast can I pass the Topstep Trading Combine?

In two trading days at the earliest, as long as your best day stays under 55% of the profit target. There is no time limit.

How many Topstep funded accounts can I have?

Up to 5 Express Funded Accounts at once; there is no limit on the number of Trading Combines.

Can I hold trades overnight at Topstep?

No. Positions must be flat by 3:10 PM CT; trading reopens at 5:00 PM CT.
