What is Phoenix Trader Funding Merit?

It is a 30-day live-proof test rather than a challenge: no target to hit, judged on how you trade. If accepted you go straight to a live EdgeClear account; if not, you keep a 20+ page Performance Review of your trading.

What are the Phoenix Trader Funding Merit rules?

Trade a $2,000 account for 1 to 30 calendar days without breaching the $2,000 static drawdown or the 25% dynamic daily drawdown, with up to 2 minis or 20 micros. Phoenix looks at consistency (generally under 50% of profit from one day), average win vs loss days, expectancy above zero, MAE/MFE and drawdown recovery.

Every position must be closed before the 4:59 PM ET close: no overnight or over-week holds on any Phoenix account. Tier 1 news (CPI, FOMC, NFP) is tradable, there is no minimum trade duration, and copying trades between your own accounts is allowed; HFT systems, EA bots that trade without you and hedging across accounts are not. Futures only.

How much does Phoenix Trader Funding Merit cost?

$69, paid once, with no subscription, no activation fee and no reset. You get one Merit trial for the life of your Phoenix account. Use our code FE at checkout through our link.

How do Phoenix Trader Funding Merit payouts work?

Only on the live account: any time, from $1, with no maximum and no withdrawal period; Phoenix covers withdrawal fees above $500. The split starts at 50/50 while the capital behind the account is repaid, then moves to 80% for the rest of the account's life.

Payouts go by Payoneer, Wise or PayPal; Phoenix processes them in up to 2 to 3 business days, then the processor's own time.

What happens after the Phoenix Trader Funding Merit test?

If accepted you skip the Pre-Funded stage and trade a $2,000 Live Funded account with EdgeClear on a static drawdown, with every rule waived except overnight and over-week positions. If not, you receive the Phoenix Performance Review.

How does Phoenix Trader Funding Merit compare to Phidias Express to Live 25K?

Phidias' Express to Live 25K scores 7.9/10 against Merit's 6.4: a $1,500 target, twice, against a $500 static limit, then a fixed $1,000 bonus and a live account with no human decision, for $69.25 on our site.

Every Phoenix plan is compared side by side on the Phoenix Trader Funding page, and any two firms on the comparison hub.

Is Phoenix Trader Funding Merit worth it?

Merit rates 6.4/10 (Fair): no target, a static drawdown and straight-to-live payouts from $1, but funding is not guaranteed, the split starts at 50/50 and you get one trial per account.

Scores follow the Enigma Rating method: value, risk cushion, payout reach, pass ease and trader sentiment.
