What is Phoenix Trader Funding Classic?

It is Phoenix's standard monthly challenge, version 3: pass it once and you get a Pre-Funded (simulated) account that pays real money, with a route to a live account with EdgeClear after four payouts.

What are the Phoenix Trader Funding Classic rules?

Hit the 6% profit target without touching the end-of-day trailing drawdown ($1,500, $2,000 or $3,000), which Phoenix updates once a day at midnight CEST. There is no daily drawdown. In the challenge no single day may exceed 50% of your profit; the minimum is 2 trading days.

Every position must be closed before the 4:59 PM ET close: no overnight or over-week holds on any Phoenix account. Tier 1 news (CPI, FOMC, NFP) is tradable, there is no minimum trade duration, and copying trades between your own accounts is allowed; HFT systems, EA bots that trade without you and hedging across accounts are not. Futures only.

How much does Phoenix Trader Funding Classic cost?

$89 a month for the 25K, $128 for the 50K and $269 for the 100K. Our code FE takes 30% off until October 31, 2026: $62.30, $89.60 and $188.30 a month. A reset costs one month's price, and every renewal adds a free reset coupon whether you passed or not. There is no activation fee.

Our code FE takes 30% off every Classic account at checkout through our link until October 31, 2026. Affiliate link: FundedEnigma may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How do Phoenix Trader Funding Classic payouts work?

Once funded there is no consistency rule. Build the safety net ($1,500, $2,000 or $3,000), then each payout needs 5 winning days of $100, $200 or $300. Payouts are weekly from $75, up to $600, $1,000 or $2,000 a request, at a 90/10 split.

Payouts go by Payoneer, Wise or PayPal; Phoenix processes them in up to 2 to 3 business days, then the processor's own time.

What happens after you pass Phoenix Trader Funding Classic?

You trade a Pre-Funded account with no consistency rule. You need at least one trade every 7 calendar days, or the account closes and remaining profit is not paid out.

After four payouts on the Pre-Funded account, plus the Phoenix team's approval, you move to a Live Funded account with Phoenix's broker partner EdgeClear, on Rithmic. The drawdown there is static and every rule except overnight and over-week positions is waived.

How does Phoenix Trader Funding Classic compare to MyFundedFutures Builder 25K?

MyFundedFutures' Builder 25K scores 8.4/10 against the Classic Starter 25K's 6.8: a smaller $1,000 drawdown, but no consistency rule to pass, payouts every 48 hours and a $1,000 cap, at 80/20, for $63 one-time on our site.

Every Phoenix plan is compared side by side on the Phoenix Trader Funding page, and any two firms on the comparison hub.

Is Phoenix Trader Funding Classic worth it?

The 25K rates 6.8/10 (Fair). It suits traders who want no daily loss limit and an EOD drawdown and who pass quickly, since it is billed monthly. The $600 cap per payout on the 25K and the safety net are the trade-offs.

Scores follow the Enigma Rating method: value, risk cushion, payout reach, pass ease and trader sentiment.
