FTMO Futures is the CME futures product from FTMO, the Prague prop firm that has run the original CFD challenge since 2015 — $650M+ paid to traders, 4.5M+ customers and a 4.8/5 on Trustpilot from more than 52,000 reviews. It comes in two flavours, Growth and Pro, in $50K, $100K and $150K sizes, and it is a monthly subscription with no activation fee that stops billing the moment you pass.

This review covers every rule of both flavours, what each account costs per month and to reset, how the Sim-Funded account and its payouts work, the invitation-only Live Funded Account, how we score it (8.6/10, Excellent) against its closest rival, and which flavour suits which trader. One thing up front: FTMO gives no discount — there is no code, and the plan is sold at list price. The evaluation: one phase, no clock, a drawdown that locks

Both flavours share the profit targets — $3,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K), $9,000 (150K) — and the single-phase structure: no minimum trading days, no time limit, pass whenever your balance closes above the target with all positions flat. Contract limits are 5 / 10 / 15 minis by size (micros count 1:10).

Growth gives you an End-of-Day trailing max drawdown of $2,000 (50K), $3,500 (100K), $5,000 (150K) with no daily loss limit and a 40% consistency rule. Pro gives you more room — $3,000 (50K), $4,500 (100K), $6,000 (150K) — but adds a hard daily loss limit of $1,000 (50K), $1,500 (100K), $2,000 (150K) and a 50% consistency rule. The drawdown limit is recalculated once a day from your best previous close, only ever rises, and locks at the starting capital for the life of the account once it gets there. The consistency rule never fails you: if your best day is more than 40% (Growth) or 50% (Pro) of total profit you simply keep trading until the ratio holds, which makes the fastest pass 3 days on Growth and 2 on Pro.

Pricing: the subscription is the whole price

Growth is $119 (50K), $169 (100K), $229 (150K) per month; Pro is $139 (50K), $199 (100K), $269 (150K). That is the whole price: there is no activation fee and the subscription is cancelled when you pass, so the Sim-Funded account costs nothing. A hard breach can be reset for $109 (50K), $159 (100K), $219 (150K) on Growth or $129 (50K), $189 (100K), $259 (150K) on Pro without moving the billing date, or you wait for the next renewal and receive a fresh account. Payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or Revolut Pay (non-US).

FTMO has no discount code and gives no discount through affiliates: FTMO Futures is sold at its list price. The live price for every size is on the FTMO Futures Growth and Pro plan pages.

    Trading rules at every stage

No overnight holding — every position closed and every resting order cancelled before 4:10 PM ET; the platform flattens what is left but you may not rely on it (the trading day runs 6:00 PM to 4:10 PM ET). News trading is allowed with no restrictions. You may not copy trades or signals from anyone else and you may not hedge across accounts; copying between your own accounts is fine. Automated trading is allowed, HFT and latency arbitrage are not. No new positions within 2% of a CME daily price limit. A Sim-Funded account with no trade for 30 days is closed. Commissions are $0.50 per side per mini and $0.20 per micro plus exchange and NFA fees; CME Level 1 data is included. You can run unlimited evaluations and hold up to three Sim-Funded accounts at once.

The Sim-Funded account: same drawdown, no target, no consistency rule

After KYC and the Sim-Funded terms you get an account of the same size. The max drawdown is unchanged — End-of-Day trailing, locking at the starting capital — and there is no profit target and no consistency rule. Growth gets a soft daily loss limit of $1,000 (50K), $2,000 (100K), $3,000 (150K): hitting it closes your positions and pauses trading until the next session, but the account survives. Pro keeps its hard limit of $1,000 (50K), $1,500 (100K), $2,000 (150K): a breach ends the account, and a Sim-Funded account cannot be reset. Contracts start at 2 / 4 / 6 minis and scale to 5 / 10 / 15 as end-of-day profit grows (2 minis to $999 profit · 3 from $1,000 · 5 from $2,000 on the 50K).

Payouts: qualifying days, 50% vs 100%, the caps

Payout eligibility works in qualifying days. On Growth you can request a payout every 4 qualifying days; on Pro every 5. A day qualifies when you close it up by at least $150 (50K), $250 (100K), $300 (150K) on Growth or $200 (50K), $300 (100K), $500 (150K) on Pro. Growth lets you withdraw up to 50% of the profit above your starting balance (the rest stays in the account and can be included next time); Pro lets you withdraw 100%. At least half of any request must be new profit from the current cycle.

Each request is capped: $2,500 (50K), $3,000 (100K), $4,000 (150K) on Growth and $5,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K), $8,000 (150K) on Pro. You keep 90% of what you request, the minimum payout is $20, and payouts are made in USD by Wise, Revolut bank wire, Visa Direct or Mastercard Send (Mastercard Send is not available to US clients). US clients file a W-9 before the first payout and must use a fully licensed US bank. Confirming a request closes any open positions; the amount is deducted at once and you can keep trading while FTMO approves it. On Pro, a 100% withdrawal takes the balance back to the starting capital — right on top of a drawdown limit that has locked there, so leave yourself room.

    The Live Funded Account

The Live Funded Account is not applied for. By invitation from FTMO's trading department after a track record of approved Sim-Funded payouts — it is not applied for. Once there, only the max drawdown applies: you clear a one-time buffer before the first payout, then you can request a payout every day for everything above the buffer, with no payout cap, still at 90/10. A market-data fee applies for live data (FTMO covers one exchange). Traders in some countries can use the Sim-Funded account and its payouts but not the Live Funded Account; the list is in the FTMO Futures FAQ.

How we rate it: 8.6/10 vs Topstep

On the Enigma Rating FTMO scores 8.6/10 (Excellent) — value 89, risk cushion 79, payout reach 81, pass ease 80, trader sentiment 100 (4.8/5 from 52,622 reviews). The best-rated plan is Pro 150K (8.3); Growth plans score 7.5–7.6. What lifts it: End-of-Day drawdown in the evaluation and once funded, locking at the start; no consistency rule once funded; no activation fee; a higher first-payout return per dollar than most plans in this market. What holds it back: the hard daily loss limit on Pro, the 40–50% consistency rule in the evaluation and the payout caps.

Its closest rival is Topstep's Trading Combine (No Activation Fee + DLL) 150K — the same monthly model, the same End-of-Day drawdown that locks, no activation fee — rated 8.5 at $199 a month against FTMO Pro 150K at $269. Topstep gives a $3,000 daily loss limit and a 55% consistency target; FTMO Pro gives a bigger $6,000 drawdown and a 50% rule. See them side by side.

    Growth or Pro?

Growth if you want the lowest monthly price, no daily loss limit in the evaluation and a soft one once funded, and you can live with 50% withdrawals per cycle and a 40% consistency rule that only delays the pass. Pro if you already trade with a hard daily stop and want the bigger drawdown, 100% withdrawals and the $5,000–$8,000 caps. Neither is for you if you hold overnight or over the weekend — every FTMO Futures position is flat by 4:10 PM ET.

    FAQ

Does FTMO Futures have a discount code?

No. FTMO does not discount FTMO Futures through codes or affiliates — the plan is sold at its list price. Signing up through our link attributes the sale to FundedEnigma at no cost to you; US residents use FTMO's US link.

Is FTMO Futures available in the US?

Yes, through FTMO's US entity, except for residents of Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana and South Carolina. US traders file a W-9 before the first payout and must use a fully licensed US bank.

What is the difference between Growth and Pro?

Same targets, same single phase, same 90/10. Growth: smaller drawdown, no daily loss limit in the evaluation (soft once funded), 40% consistency, 50% withdrawals, caps $2,500–$4,000, $119–$229 a month. Pro: bigger drawdown, hard daily loss limit, 50% consistency, 100% withdrawals, caps $5,000–$8,000, $139–$269 a month.

Is there a consistency rule once funded?

No. The consistency rule applies to the evaluation only, and even there it only delays the pass — it never fails the account.

How fast can I get a payout?

Every 4 qualifying days on Growth or 5 on Pro, where a qualifying day closes up by at least $150–$300 (Growth) or $200–$500 (Pro) depending on size; minimum payout $20, paid in USD by Wise, Revolut bank wire, Visa Direct or Mastercard Send.
